Meet Alex Winston
Last year, while driving back from visiting Boston Latin Academy — my daughter’s prospective “exam” school, which isn’t actually an exam school — I decided to consider running for Mayor of Boston.
As I reflected on the city’s atmosphere, I struggled to accept its management. I noticed several obvious issues being overlooked, and I grew frustrated with the notion of simply accepting, “this is how it’s going to be.”

My Objectives
I am not looking to radically change Boston, I have been here most of my life and think it is a wonderful place to live. My approach to Mayor is doing lots of small things that will add up together to make Boston a calmer, safer and cleaner City to live in. Most importantly, I would listen to what the residents of Boston would like to see for a better Boston. That is where all of the inspiration should come from, the people that are living in our city day in and day out. Sure, there will be large plans to deal with along the way but slow and steady working on infrastructure to make Boston even better.
